Railing has fallen down embankment

Reported via mobile in the Street furniture category anonymously at 23:15, Tuesday 4 March 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7226979.

Temporary plastic barrier had been in place for more than 9 months as the wooden / metal barrier rotted and fell down the embankment on the railway path. This is a busy pavement path used to access the bristol-bath cycle path. The 90 degree bend and steep drop behind the barriers should mean that a priority is given to prevent accidents. Every bad weather the temporary barriers fall and create a further hazard

  • It is now May and this embankment still has temporary barriers. I have watched youths pushing them back into the gully. Which department team have taken responsibility? Please provide an update please. South Gloucester council who manage the other side of the bank have recently upgraded all of the railings - very efficient
