The slide is now not usable by the children and grandchildren that use this park area. Rather than taking out the bushes and including a bin, the council have decided to fence off the green space at Fox Road park and obstruct play equipment.

    The slide has been taken away without any consultation. The green space has been fenced off and made inaccessible for people to use. There is also a proposal to remove the swings. This is a cut in services. There was no equalities impact assessment. There are a large number of people who have signed a petition to save the park and play area. BCC are using public funds against the interests of the local community group and local residents.
