Ash die back infection on huge tree overhanging mine and my neighbour’s garden from adjacent property
Reported via mobile in the Tree in poor health category anonymously at 17:44, Thursday 10 April 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7418107.
I have an old large ash tree overhanging mine and my next door neighbours garden. The tree in question is located in another neighbour’s garden ( at the bottom of ours)
I’ve had an aborist look at this and I’ve been told it’s got ash die back and is very dangerous.
It’s huge!!
Large branches have fallen into our properties over the last several years. The tree expert has visited again and told me it’s a time bomb scenario. And needs to come down. I’ve contacted the council but they’re not that interested as all properties are privately owned. The owner of the house where the tree is located/ grows has been instructed of all this information and given letters ( from aborist)
They proceeded to have work done on branches on there side only which makes it even more dangerous on our side as now that’s predominantly where the trees weight is. I’ve even offered to pay towards the work but very difficult to liaise, as the owner is based in Nigeria.
My location is Bs91sn Bristol
My telephone number is 07919106393
Please help

This very large heavy branch fell today from another tree in my neighbours garden. It’s another ash tree!!
A branch similar fell a couple of weeks ago. Lots of children play in these gardens!
Still no council response
Please could you attend / visit to assess for yourselves.
