Following the collapse of a wall, this stretch of road has been closed for nearly nine months now, with no signage or apparent plans to reopen it and fix the wall. It would be nice to know why this is not being attended to as it has a significant effect on congestion and air pollution at peak times due to the impact on traffic leading up Parry’s Lane onto Westbury Road. With several primary schools and university halls of residence nearby it would seem a priority to reopen this road, to ensure the safety of the area for pedestrians, to reduce air pollution and to improve the flow of traffic in a highly used commuter area. Previous reports on this forum have not been responded to and have been ‘closed’ without resolution. When will this wall be fixed and the road reopened for cars and pedestrians?
