Surface layer worn away on nearside edge of carriageway

Reported via desktop in the Roads category anonymously at 16:45, Tuesday

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7439896.

Pothole located on the nearside of Sea Walls Road when travelling towards The Avenue, close to the edge of the carriageway. The surface layer has broken away in a long, narrow strip, exposing the underlying layer of the road. The surrounding tarmac is cracked and beginning to crumble, with signs of further surface failure.

The defect sits in the usual wheel path for vehicles and poses a risk to cyclists in particular, as well as to cars needing to keep left due to oncoming traffic.

Please arrange inspection and repair.
