Broken cement drain cover on public footpath

Reported via mobile in the Pavements category anonymously at 18:50, Wed 30 April 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7505952.

Broken cement drain cover on public footpath, the children have been damaging the cover the last few days and now has quite a large hole. It’s located on the corner of stockwood road BS14 8JN just as you go up into the coots. We have quite a few dog walkers and children using this route and could pose a danger if someone didn’t see the hole and put there foot in.

  • We've referred the issue externally for appropriate action to be taken, as it's not something Bristol City Council is responsible for.

  • The hole is a lot bigger now, it’s a massive health and safety risk. I can see someone ending up with an accident payout if it’s not sorted soon!
