Bus shelter removed by council at Christchurch stop, Clifton
Reported via mobile in the Request shelter installed category by Charlotte Paterson at 16:33, Fri 9 May 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7546523.
3wks ago the Council removed our excellent bus shelter and electronic bus time info. They moved the stop about 50yds along the pavement but the old shelter was still in the bus stop area. Many people, like me, cannot stand for long and therefore cannot now use the bus. This is a major problem for any one with a disability, for pregnant women, adults with children - all of whom depend on the bus for both everyday and urgent journeys. Why was the shelter demolished? Extremely wasteful, undemocratic and shocking. Urgent replacement required.

This shelter has been missing for MONTHS. PLEASE replace it asap, as the seat is needed for elderly bus passengers, of whom there are many in Clifton. The new shelter is LONG overdue. Thank you.
