Serial flytipping being perpetrated by a resident nearby

Reported via mobile in the Flytipping category anonymously at 13:53, Sunday 8 June 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7677698.

This person has been regularly dumping black bags full of rubbish on the estate for weeks. I have removed it myself on several occasions. Having cleared it all last week, I discovered several more black bags at 9.15 this morning. This time I opened a couple and found amongst other things, cardboard packaging addressed to the resident of 74 Comb Paddock, just seconds away.

I took it upon myself to take all of it back where it obviously came from. Half way through, a guy came walking down the footpath and asked what I was doing. I explained and asked if it was his rubbish. He quickly admitted that it was indeed his and I told him in no uncertain terms, that this was illegal and I would be reporting him. He then denied any responsibility and the fact that he had already admitted it.

He asked how I could know it was from his house, so I pointed out that it contained packaging addressed to him (obviously not very bright). He then just walked off. I do not know if he would be daft enough to dump it all again, but his behaviour really should be punished. I believe he may be a new Council tenant at this address and if so, presumably gives you a bit more power. He clearly has no pride in where he lives and doesn't care about his neighbours.

  • Having removed all the rubbish AGAIN and returning it to his property on Sunday, I was shocked this morning to find he had dumped it all back again. This is the resident at 74 Comb Paddock. He has no regard for the law or for his neighbours.

I submitted my evidence on Sunday and will do so again. He should be prosecuted
