Bark peeling, no leaves, white fungus at base

Reported via mobile in the Tree in poor health category anonymously at 08:43, Fri 13 June 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7703275.

A tree in the reported location still has no leaves being in mid-June. When looking closer, the bark is peeling or detaching making 'bubbles', The colour of the trunk may look a bit unhealthy and I have seen a white fungus growth at the bottom of the tree

Updates

  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • Condition keeps on getting worse. Now fugus is growing underneath the peeling bark at various places in the trunk. No a single leave has grown in this tree for the last 9 months I've been observing and the bark keeps on peeling
