Deadly metal plates

Reported via desktop in the Utlility covers category anonymously at 13:27, Friday 13 June 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7705256.

I realise they needed to cover the open pits but the plates are fantastically slippy/skiddy even in dry weather...LETHAL in the wet. The firm doing this should have completed this work asap, leaving these plates here is very dangerous for cyclists. Please get onto them and preferably make them, if you can, complete these pits asap. This is quite dangerous and unacceptable. As an engineer, no excuse for leaving this work until the last minute, these plates need removing asap, they are smooth and practically frictionless thus a high risk for two wheel users.
