Consistent Fly-Tipping By Student Flats
Reported via mobile in the Flytipping category anonymously at 19:14, Fri 27 June 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7776014.
Student flats along Regent Street are consistently overfilling bins and dumping rubbish either out the back of the buildings or onto pavements stopping pedestrians from using the pavements. Rat boxes have had to be put down to stop vermin and the bins are still torn apart by seagulls and foxes in the night. University of Bristol and BCC need to sort out this issue as it happens repeatedly and with each lot of new students each term.
The current waste is already attracting vermin and needs to be removed so people can access the high street.

Dear Bristol City Council
The fly-tipping is getting worse. Fire exits are being blocked, rats are in the waste, and the rubbish is now fully blocking the pavement and access routes to the high street, peoples homes, and businesses.
Please can this rubbish be removed immediately as it is a health and safety hazard on several points, and can the Univeristy of Bristol be informed that its students are causing all of the above.

Dear BCC
The binmen have been and understandably have only taken the rubbish in the black bins. The remainder of the rubbish is now festering and blocking not only the street but several fire escapes and an entrance to a local business. Please can this issue be tackled immediately as it is a serious health and safety hazard.
