Growing hole in pavement

There is a growing hole in the pavement and now a second one has appeared on what looks like a wider depression. Looks a bit like a sinkhole forming. This area has been problematic before and it’s happening again. I am taking care not to walk over it but saw two school kids walk right over it oblivious today. Very concerned. Needs to be fenced or blocked off at the very least.

    Hi - This issue seems to be getting worse with a third hole starting to open up. It's definitely a worry that this may cause accidents so if it can be looked at ASAP that would be great, thank you.

  • Holes are getting bigger, and it does look like a sinkhole, with an area of nothing underneath the pavement. This could get a lot worse very quickly and cause serious injury.

    I’m horrified to say that these three holes are not being flagged to make people aware! A accident waiting to happen! No excuse for not ring fencing them to alert folk of the potential danger! Please please please BCC make this a priority.

    18 days since it was first reported, and still nothing done about it. I report this most years since holes keep coming back because, when the council finally get around to doing anything about it, they just do a temporary fix. Bristol City Council at its very best once again!

    Walked past here this morning: has now grown from the 2 holes originally reported to 4 holes of varying sizes as per photo. Close look suggests nothing (or very little) immediately underneath to support the pavement surface so needs to be fenced.

    A (poor) attempt has been made to fix the holes - ONE HAS ALREADY REOPENED.

    If the council arranged the repair I hope they refuse to pay the invoice until the job is done properly.
