Waste left on the side of the street

Reported via mobile in the Flytipping category anonymously at 18:11, Sun 6 July 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7817258.

I have just moved onto this street and the waste left at the side of this street is disgusting. First of all we bought a bin from the council and someone immediately started using our bin to the point we now have bought a lock to put on it. It seems like no one on this street actually uses bins and just dumps all their rubbish on the street. This morning I found dog poo had been put in my bin. We live on 386 Hotwell Road. This is going to and has been causing pests and we will end up with a rat issue! Tha bags have already been ripped open by animals. Someone next door has said that apparently the bin men do not take the rubbish unless it’s dumped at the side so they can easily take it which if true is just complete laziness and needs to be addressed . This issue really needs to be sorted out. I am absolutely appalled how people can just dump their rubbish outside it’s a serious health and safety issue and well as environmental. Someone please come out so we can have this issue sorted out, it’s disgusting. Thanks

  • Here are some more images of the street strewn with rubbish just being dumped outside the houses. How this issue hasn’t already been reported and addressed I don’t know ! Apparently after speaking to the council we should all have Gull proof bags ? Not one person on this street has one of those or is even aware of needing one. The council need to address this issue ASAP !!!
