Roots of tree are destroying my wall and patio

The roots of the tree on council property is growing underneath and disrupting my property. This gap is rapidly growing where the public can see straight through in to my Garden. The roots have made all my patio tiles wobbly and uneven It’s progressively getting worse and I am worried about the wall collapsing
