The food festival on Clifton down has once again left cable ties everywhere!

Reported via mobile in the Flytipping category anonymously at 00:19, Wed 13 August 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8017002.

The food festival on Clifton down has once again left hundreds of used black cable ties strewn all over the area they used. We collected just a few and put them buy a tree as pictured, along with some other bits left behind. They also left a large steel tent peg of some type, circa 2” thick, sticking a couple inches out of the ground among the grass. It’s the second year in a row that they’ve failed to clear up after themselves.

Respectfully, this festival needs to be moved elsewhere to a lesser frequented spot. The area they block out for over a week in the middle of summer is enjoyed constantly by the public during this time. No event should block this area, it should be moved to a less popular area of the downs so it doesn’t prevent public enjoyment of a popular open space. They should also be made to clean up after themselves too, or fined for not doing so.
