Abandoned caravan

Reported via mobile in the A vehicle left on public road for over two months category anonymously at 16:56, Wed 20 August 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8052811.

This caravan has been left on this road since February 2025. It has not moved. It was first said by said person who dumped it there that it was there temporarily as waiting to be repaired. The caravan has not been repaired or moved to be repaired. The owner has not returned to the caravan.

Updates

  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • Please provide an update on the progress of having this caravan removed. The caravan is unliveable/unusable and has been dumped since February 2025!

  • The caravan that is dumped on the triangle of Sturminster Rd Stockwood seems to have somebody living in it. They have now set up a gazebo and table with chairs out on the grass. Also there is a small pile of rubbish building up . Maybe this should be a priority issue before we get more caravans here

  • The owner has now taken steps to avoid the caravan from being towed. They have chained a wheel over the towing arm and chained the caravan to a nearby pole. They have also erected a gazebo and furniture outside on public green and a mounting of rubbish is piling up. This is not fair on local residents, the owner has a private driveway which he could store his caravan on!

  • Why is the council doing nothing on this? Mounting collection of rubbish and stuff outside is now spilling over onto the green. The owner knows exactly what they are doing.

  • Can someone take a look at this with urgency? It has escalated and they are not setting up a gazebo. Should be moved.

  • This needs to be dealt with, it’s not fair we have to look at this outside our homes! This has been allowed to be dumped here since February! The owner does not even have a vehicle, assumed he has lost his license as he never drove legally! Please have this caravan removed!
