Outside 10 Eldon Terrace, three large holes letting water in

Reported via mobile in the Pavements category anonymously at 13:41, Sunday 7 September 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8131411.

We have three large potholes up to 12" long adjacent to our house. It has now gotten to the point where it rains, the water will trickle through into our downstairs front room. We have a former coal chute but are unable to waterproof this from the inside as the leaks start a little further up the street, so it can only be sealed via the top, i.e. the pavement, (as otherwise anywhere we seal will cause water would pool along the wall of the property.) This has started to leak every time it rains. It just needs to be sealed from the top. It should be a very quick job, but it will make a massive impact to our daily lives. We have tried everything we can to seal it from the boundary of our property, but we cannot do more without putting a waterproof covering on the joint between the house and the pavement. Please help us so that it stops dripping into our house. I am at work and so can't come back to plug the leak and my partner is looking after our 2-year-old.
