Dangerous turning right
Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights category by Jake Porter at 17:35, Sun 7 September 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8132332.
Turning right from Blackswarth Road onto Church Road is incredibly dangerous, especially around rush hour - the traffic from opposite on Chalks Road continuously flows and this means cars trying to turn right have to hope for the best that the cars opposite will see them, I know there have been several accidents here already. It would be a lot safer if traffic from blackswarth road and chalks road were not moving at the same time. It also creates a lot of traffic around the liveable neighbourhood. I think the traffic lights sequence could be improved.

Still open, via questionnaire -
This really does need to be fixed. It is causing cars to jump the lights/enter the junction on red which is a danger to other road users, including cyclists who are not visible to cars turning right.
