Unwanted England flag on public lampost

Reported via desktop in the Litter category anonymously at 13:32, Monday 29 September 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8228423.

Unknown person has put up an England flag on Bower Walk, BS3. Given the rise in racially motivated hate crimes and the rise of the far-right protests and hate speech, this display of the flag is intimidating and offensive. The inhabitants of St Johns Lane and the surrounding roads are ethnically diverse and the intention of this display is not patriotic but designed to say 'foreigners not welcome here'. I am a proud Brit and love this country and this is not what Bristol stands for. Please get it removed as soon as possible.
