Large weeds with thistles sticking out of cracks in pavements

Reported via mobile in the Weeds category anonymously at 10:15, Wednesday 1 October 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8237110.

There are lots and lots of spiky weeds sticking out of the cracks in the pavement between the walls of houses and the pavement. This is a multi fold problem: first, it is a nuisance to have to navigate around this especially if there is another person on the pavement too, and secondly, it looks really unsightly and unkempt. It sort of plays into the broken windows theory and you can see that it looks forgotten or uncared for and I’m seeing an increase in people leaving cardboard and other mess on the pavement. I’d love this part of Redcatch Road to look much more homely and community driven despite it being on a quite busy road.
