Dear Bristol Council Highways/Maintenance Team,
I am writing to raise a concern regarding the condition of the pavement and grass verge outside my property at 34 Avalon Rd, Bristol, BS5 8RX.
Recently, some electrical works were carried out which required digging up part of the pavement and grass verge. After the work was completed, the area was reinstated, but rather than restoring the grass verge, it was patchily covered with tarmac. The result is a very untidy and uneven surface that is not visually appealing and does not match the surrounding area.
Additionally, the grass verge has long been a problem, as it often attracts irresponsible dog owners who do not clean up after their pets. I would like to request that, rather than returning to the patchy mix of grass and tarmac, the council consider fully removing the remaining grass verge and replacing it with continuous tarmac to improve appearance, hygiene, and maintenance. Please let me know if this is something that can be looked into, or if an inspection can be arranged.
Kind regards
