Flags
Reported via mobile in the General highways enquiry category anonymously at 23:04, Mon 20 October 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8319635.
There are unwanted England flags on nearly every lamppost on Bridgewater Road from the traffic lights onwards. They have clearly been put up maliciously to send a pathetic message, they are an eyesore and a sickening sight to see. They have been there for at least a week now and need removing.

The flags are still there. Why does the council continue to ignore this and close down the issue when it is raised? There have been multiple reports of the distress the flags cause, the illegality of their placement, and the aggressive and unsettling actions of the men who put them there.
How can the council in good conscience continue to ignore this issue? You are failing in your duty of care to the residence of this city. Please remove the flags.

Since Friday there has been a doubling of the England/Union Flags all along Bridgewater Road.
A member of the public recently died as a consequence of putting these flags up.
Please can they be removed, they are an eyesore, they distract drivers and the individuals putting them up are risking both their own and other peoples lives climbing ladders in such a fashion.
This is what greets individuals visiting the city from the airport and it really needs cleaning up.
