Blocked Drain
Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 14:17, Mon 3 November 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8370776.
Dear Cllr Carole Johnson,
I am writing to you because both myself and neighbours in Kelston Road have continuously raised concerns about a blocked drain outside my house, which could cause potential flooding, as highlighted in the attached photograph.
I have received confirmation regarding my complaints via “FixMyStreet”, but the situation is still under review.
A contractor did clear a drain in the street last week, but not the drain outside my house.
There is also another blocked drain under the responsibility of Travis Perkins, but unfortunately despite repeated requests this has not been cleared.
We are considering purchasing sand bags to prevent potential flooding.
Unfortunately, our road used to be cleared of vegetation, but this has now ceased, exacerbating the problem.
I look forward to you dealing with this issue at your earliest convenience.
Yours sincerely,
Ian Moss 17 Kelston Road BS10 5ES +44(0)7742747771
