St. Andrews Road, West side of Highway Footpath
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Philip Morris at 16:09, Mon 20 June 2016
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 844437.
St. Andrew's Road must be one of the heaviest used roads within the Bristol area, by H.G.V. vehicles, yet for some reason the Council in its 'collective wisdom' has widened the footpath to approx (12 to 15 foot wide, in places) and yet there must be 1 pedestrian per hour over any 12 hour period) and the same number of cyclists the Footpath has been widened by at least 3 feet, as can be seen by my photograph (showing my size 11 shoe) Because of the widening the debris (as can be seen plastic bag are now being trapped within the dead end gully. So besides reporting the issue of trapped waste I would also question the usefulness of this scheme - and for who's benefit ?
