Pavement blocked again

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping category anonymously at 20:30, Tue 9 December 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8525680.

As reported numerous times the pavement is blocked again by overfilled bins forcing people to walk into the Road. It was reported last week and the bins were emptied, but once again the abandoned bins have been overfilled, the bins needs to be removed, if they belonged to some they should be taken in. Please remove the bins, putting labels on them doesn't work. The bins being there just encourages people to dump rubbish in them then around them. This is ASB, it has been reported numerous times and if it is not sorted I will request a case review.

Updates

  • Thank you for taking the time to report fly- tipping to Bristol City Council. We will aim to remove the fly- tip within 3 days, but this depends on its size, scale, location, or whether the fly tip is hazardous.

Reducing levels of fly tipping is important so please share any evidence of who is doing it with the council.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • What is going on in this location?? Why are the bins on the pavement all the time? It’s becoming a bit like Birmingham in this location and unless something is done to fix the root cause ( residents leaving bins out and non collection when they are over flowing ) I think it’s time that the local media were involved and a serous health hazard reported to the HSE. Can you put up some notices to remove bins from this location apart from collection day please?

  • This issue is still ongoing as of 7th January. Please get this removed, along with the wheelie bins. This will attract rodents into properties surrounding
