Loose manhole cover causing loud noise, near 78 Cairns road

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to report an issue with a loose manhole cover located on the road at BS6 7TH area.

Whenever vehicles pass over the manhole cover, it produces a loud metallic clanking noise due to it not being properly secured. This occurs frequently throughout the day and night, but the noise is particularly disruptive during the night-time when background noise levels are lower. The sound is clearly audible inside my home and has been causing ongoing disturbance and loss of sleep.

I understand that road and drainage infrastructure requires regular maintenance, and I would be very grateful if this matter could be inspected and resolved as soon as possible, for example by securing or refitting the manhole cover to prevent further noise.
