Dangerous crossing - someone will get hurt / die
Reported via desktop in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 22:34, Wednesday 14 January 2026
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8690538.
The zebra crossing is faded and there is no prior warning to drivers that they are approaching a busy school crossing. My son was inches away from being run over by a car that didn't stop. I have witnessed this happen to others on several occasions. Particularly in winter when it's dark, and lighting is poor. Something must be done - it is so dangerous. The council has said that it has been fixed, but it has not. Road markings must be re-painted with bright white paint, and school crossing signs be put up on the approach from both sides on Coldharbour Rd. Also better lighting at the crossing would be beneficial. Dear Council - please do not ignore this request - children's lives are in danger - as our adults.

Very dangerous crossing- very faded zebra crossing paint and poor lighting and signage. This is very near Westbury Park Primary School and the Red House Nursery. An accident waiting to happen

We've investigated this enquiry and believe it relates to the same issue that we've seen via a separate enquiry and appropriate action has already been taken. For example, a job may have been raised with our contractors for repair or the issue is not the responsibility of Bristol City Council.
