Bridge barriers causing people to dangerously climb around them.

Report number 8533382 has been closed saying no further action required following investigation. However, as per the photo the bridge has been now been blocked and deemed unsafe, so clearly further action is needed.

Multiple people have been observed climbing around the newly introduced barrier, this is only a temporary solution and the longer it remains the more likelihood of someone being injured climbing over the bridge - which is now more dangerous than before.

A clear resolution and timeline is required.

  • As this issue is not urgent we'll deal with it as part of a future planned work scheme in this area.

  • Unfortunately we currently do not have the budget available to action this issue. However, we have made a record of this enquiry and it may be considered for future works should further funding become available.
