Pot hole on road outside 709 Whitchurch Lane

Reported via mobile in the Pothole small category anonymously at 07:56, Monday 19 January 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8716927.

Pot hole has got rapidly bigger with the amount of rain we’ve recently had due to water gathering and it being continuously driven over as it’s not clear and obvious when filled with water. Lots of grit has been chucked up from the pothole onto the pavement, causing a slip hazard and pedestrians are getting wet from car driving through and water splashing up.

  • This pothole is getting bigger the number of cars going over it and the damage it’s causing to cars is terrible. This should be classed as urgent before an accident happens

  • Many car wheels are being punctured due to the size and depth of the pothole. Impossible to see it in the weather/darkness. This must be an immediate fix due to the escalating size and for the fact how busy this road is. More cars will be damaged and more garage bills will be send to Bristol City Council.

  • Hole has been filled - thank you. Please can EMT collect their cones and sign. Cones and sign haven been run over numerous times and are now broken and blocking the pavement. Been here for over a week.

  • We've referred the issue externally for appropriate action to be taken, as it's not something Bristol City Council is responsible for.
