Possible unauthorised construction exceeding 2m height on Stoke Lodge
Reported via desktop in the Other issue category anonymously at 19:54, Saturday 24 January 2026
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8760032.
A structure has been erected in Stoke Lodge which appears to exceed 2 metres in height and is clearly visible from surrounding public areas (see attached photograph for evidence). The scale, height and method of construction suggest that this is a permanent structure rather than a temporary or incidental installation, and it represents a significant and prominent change to the site. As far as I am aware, no planning permission has been granted for this development, and given its height and apparent permanence it does not appear to fall within permitted development rights. The structure has been constructed within an open and publicly accessible space, raising concerns regarding compliance with local planning controls and potential impact on the character and use of the site. I would therefore be grateful if Bristol Ciry Council could confirm whether planning permission exists and, if it has not been granted, please investigate this matter as a potential unauthorised development and arrange for the structure to be removed within 14 days.

No progress, the posts and gate are over 2m tall. Please cut the tops of both posts and gates. Better still remove the entire fence which is blocking public rights of way.
