Elongated pothole in front of dropped kerb

Reported via mobile in the Pothole large category anonymously at 12:16, Tuesday 27 January 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8777888.

Over the last year, the tarmac directly in front of the dropped kerb has been deteriorating. This has been exacerbated by the harsh winter weather and, in more recent weeks, a leaking water meter. The constant stream of water is washing away the tarmac and has deepened the pothole into a trench shape. Despite having a mid-sized car, we can no longer enter our driveway forwards. The pothole causes the front wheels to dive immediately before the slope of the driveway. The underside of the car then scrapes on the tarmac. Without intervention (fixing the leaking water meter, repairing the tarmac), the problem will continue to get worse.
