Long series of deep potholes and ruts

Reported via desktop in the Pothole large category anonymously at 17:35, Friday 30 January 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8804386.

Large series of deep pot holes and ruts covering about 3 or 4 metres in length and about a metre wide. Hard to drive over in a car, a cyclist could not cycle over these and would have to swerve into the road. Getting worse each week and I am now having to wait for oncoming traffic to clear to drive around them. It's a busy road.

  • This has been getting worse for years and due to car parking on one side of the road there is no choice but to drive in the gutter over these holes if soneone driving towards you. I regularly have very frail passengers in my car and this throws them around, against the door, even at slow speeds. It is painful for them

  • I reported this early last year and nothing has been done since. Clearing off old reports is not a way to look like this is a new issue I know roads are poor this time of year but this has been like this for over a year now

  • As this issue is not urgent we'll deal with it as part of a future planned work scheme in this area.
