Large pot hole

Reported via mobile in the Pothole large category anonymously at 16:41, Friday 6 February 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8855721.

There's a wide deep pot hole outside of 531 bishport avenue. It's on the bus route so it's growing quickly. The puddles in photo hide it but sections are very deep.

Updates

  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • I am sure it’s thanks to these heavy buses and Lorry’s that constantly go up and down bishport ave that keep tearing the road up it’s also happening on four aces these buses are ripping up the roads as they are to heavy

If these roads can’t be repaired properly with the same pot holes need repairing over and over again within 4 weeks of being repaired then Bristol city council needs to put 3.5ton weight limits on these roads of coarse they won’t as we all know that bcc are in firsts back pocket

  • We've investigated this enquiry and believe it relates to the same issue that we've seen via a separate enquiry and appropriate action has already been taken. For example, a job may have been raised with our contractors for repair or the issue is not the responsibility of Bristol City Council.
