Edge around manhole crumbling

The area around this manhole is crumbling. Because the (sharp) edge of the metal is protruding even though this isn't very deep yet (5cm) it's crumbling fast and widening quickly. 20 wide, about 10 cm away from metal edge. Multiple sides of manhole affected.
