Gardeners concerned about health of Ash tree branches overhanging our garden
Reported via mobile in the Tree in poor health category anonymously at 13:15, Tuesday 24 February 2026
Sent to Bristol City Council 6 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 8988992.
There is a large ash tree sited on council owned land (just behind the Stoke Lodge playing fields pavilion). Some garden enters and tree surgeons who have recently done some work for us have raised concerns about the health of the large branches which overhang our fence and back garden. They have suggested we engage with you so that you can assess the health of the branches / tree and take any appropriate action to ensure this does not pose any danger to us. (There have been several incidents in the last 12-18 months of tree branches around Stoke Lodge falling in high winds - the most recent one injuring a local dog walker.
Many thanks.

Ever larger parts of the ash tree continue to fall into our garden / onto our fence and onto the pathway between our garden and the pavilion - concerned further high winds may see a much larger branch come down. Am hopeful all is required is some light tree maintenance but a view on what action is required to prevent injury / damage would be appreciated.
