Concerns for health of some Lime trees along Bird Cage Walk

Reported via desktop in the Tree in poor health category anonymously at 17:33, Wednesday 25 February 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8999236.

We are taking more notice of our lime trees along Bird Cage Walk as they have their annual prune. One is completely rotted. Several have widening holes in their crowns, rot has set in and the trees slowly weaken. Squirrels are stripping bark from the overhead arched branches. They die and in some cases fall. Now would be a very good time to take a look at these as they are not yet in leaf. Thank You
