There is a large pothole near the bottom of Bridge Valley Road as traffic enters the road from the traffic lights at the Portway

The surface of the road at the start of the ascent onto the bridge is in dangerous disrepair, and will cause serious damage to e.g. any cyclist trying to avoid it.
