Noisey Drain Cover

Reported in the Gully/Drainage category by Customer Services at 13:48, Mon 3 October 2016

Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later

Thank you for reporting a street fault. Here are the details you reported:

Reference Number: Report submitted at: 11:33, 27 Jun 2016

Street Name: Branscombe Road, Bristol

Details: Fault Type: Noisy or faulty drain or manhole cover Drain Cover Shape: Rectangle Problem Description: The storm drain has sunk and is 12" lower than the pavement. Contractors attended to rectify the problem but all they have done is put new tarmac around the edge of the storm drain. This has not rectified the problem and there is still a danger to pedestrians and other road users. 2 vehicles have become stuck on the pavement in the last 6 months. The road is due to be surface dressed and the drain will therefore be even lower than the road surface causing a danger to cyclists and other road users. The kerb stones are damaged where vehicles have become lodged on the kerb. I have neighbours in their 80's and I am concerned for their safety and the safety of other road users. The storm drain cover needs to be reseated at the correct level of the road surface. Location: Outside number 21 Branscombe Road Damage/Injury:
