Damage to my car's alloy wheel

I would like to make a claim for damage to my car's alloy wheel and have attached evidence of the incident and explained in my own words below.
I was travelling along St. Peters Rise, Bristol on the morning of 26/09/16 at around 8.45am. There were ongoing roadworks and the single carrageway had been reduced to a single lane where vehicles travelling from my direction had to give way to on coming vehicles. After giving way to a vehicle, I made my way along the single lane (on the left hand side of the road) with the opposite side of the road barriered off. Travelling at a slow speed, I noticed a very large pothole in the middle of the road, underneath the barriers (around the area of No.43 St. Peters Rise). To try to avoid this pothole which would have caused damage to the front offside wheel, I have made contact with the curb with my front nearside wheel.
I have attached both a photograph of the pothole and a video from on board my vehicle (with sound on you can hear the damage being caused) as well as photographs of the damage itself. Please note that the time and date code are incorrect on my video - the workmen were not working on the 25th (a Sunday) and it is clearly daytime and not 20:45 as the code says).
I hope you can contact me to inform me how I can be compensated for the damaged caused to my vehicle.
