Damaged kerb on Beaufort Close near number 1 - recurring issue, safety risk to pedestrians & vehicles
Reported via desktop in the Damaged kerb category anonymously at 19:50, Sunday 26 April 2026
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9357425.
I'd like to report the condition of the kerbing on Beaufort Close, near number 1. The kerb is significantly deteriorated - cracked, broken & in places collapsing, making it a genuine safety hazard.
This section of road serves a number of elderly residents, and is regularly used by disabled residents, food delivery vehicles & emergency services including ambulances accessing the properties on this stretch. The deterioration creates a real risk, both as a trip hazard for pedestrians on the footway and as a potential hazard for vehicles mounting or crossing the kerb.
Footfall in this area has also increased since the East Bristol Liveable Neighbourhood changes, which makes the condition of the kerb even more of a concern.
I have photographic evidence to support this report and would welcome action please.
I'd also like to note that this kerb has been subject to previous repair works, however the condition has continued to deteriorate. This suggests the earlier repair may not have addressed the underlying issue, and a more thorough inspection & permanent fix is needed.
Thank you.
