Brambles over growing my fenceline boundary

Reported via desktop in the Brambles category anonymously at 13:05, Wednesday 29 April 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9373083.

I am again complaining about the lack of ongoing clearance, treatment and management of the "council depot" that sits adjacent to my fence at 123 Dundridge Lane Bristol. Annually for years I have had to trim back the brambles and overgrown scrub that gets worse year on year, growing through my fence. You turned up last year or maybe even 2024 and did nothing more than push the scrub around and actually made it worse!! My fence has now started to collapse because of the sheer weight of brambles growing over it. I have cut them back twice already. You have no intention of doing anything with the land. I even offered to buy it off you to take away the headache of maintaining it!! Still nothing, even after receiving confirmation you would trim back 4 times a year. The whole area needs 360 excavator and 40 yard skips bringing in, the dense vegetation removing and the site levelling, then ongoing preventative maintenance carried out quarterly. This has been going on for nearly 8 years and I am sick of having to deal with it myself.
