Blocked pipework on corner of Julian Road/Downleaze
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category by THOMAS LAWSON at 14:49, Monday 4 May 2026
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9396528.
On days with more than a few minutes of rain, this corner floods, rendering pavement impassable. The latest flooding has occurred despite local residents clearing leaves from the gully and drains. The problem is therefore not a blocked drain but slow-draining pipework underneath. Backed up road drainage has caused issues of domestic flooding in adjoining properties after heavy rainfall. In past years this blockage has been cleared of significant obstructions and it has now been at least two years since this corner floods so severely as to make it impossible for families with prams and wheelchair users to round the corner safely. Please send someone to investigate and clear sub-street level pipework.
