In heavy rain pavement floods and water runs into garden

Reported via mobile in the Missing drain category anonymously at 19:00, Monday 18 May 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9472443.

In heavy rain water floods the road, this breaches the pavement and runs down an alleyway and steps which floods my front doorway. The issue appears to be due to low curb stones running along the edge of the payment and potentially blocked drains in the area.

  • The position on the map is incorrect, the issue is occurring between 184 Coronation Road and the Avon Packet pub, the waters are flossing on the pavements in front of black iron gates and run down the alley and the steps into the garden of Garden Flat 184 Coronation Road.

  • The southern footway along Coronation Road becomes largely impassable by pedestrians during/after even moderate rainfall; there are few safe crossing points to the shared pedestrian/cycle path opposite, which is inadequate for typical usage anyway.
