Subsidence to lower side of manhole gradually getting worse over last 2-3 months with cover now rocking loudly when vehicles pass over. Can be heard easily from inside our house. Gap appearing at side of frame. Concern that vehicles may be damaged

I understand from your reply that no action is deemed necessary. This is disappointing and incorrect as the cover has sunk and the surround is breaking away. Will this not eventually lead to the sub base entering the manhole itself? Apart from that, we feel that the loud noise of vehicles passing directly over particularly at night is not environmentally acceptable.
